Labor of Love ❤️ Meet the Founders

A labor of love

Dear Cult,

We're over the moon you've joined the cult to celebrate the badass bivalve that's delicious, nutritious, and working hard to save the oceans. It's almost Labor Day, and we'd like to say THANK YOU for working with us on our mission, and HELLO + WELCOME to all the new faces.

We're Sims + Rob, founders of Real Oyster Cult. We have four kids and an oyster farm in Duxbury, MA. Real Oyster Cult is a true labor of love. It's our mission to grow our cult of oyster lovers to support the labor of the planet's most benevolent bi-valve.

Oysters are some kind of magic. They labor daily to fight climate change, cleaning the water they're grown in, filtering and sequestering nitrogen in their shells, and working as the literal bedrock of ecosystems, necessary to maintaining our ocean's myriad species.

Our cult impacts over 80 farms and waters across North America. Woo-hoo! We're in it together: let's give Summer a shucking send-off this Labor Day weekend.

XOXO,

Sims + Rob
